As I have said on other occasions, for me one of the most difficult products to choose is the moisturizer. Although it is a product that we all consider basic (and, in fact, it is part of what your basic skincare routine should be), the market is massive and sometimes it can be difficult to find one that is right for your skincare needs. If you want to learn to identify the ingredients that the ideal moisturizer for your skin type needs, I recommend reading this other article.

In this case, Klairs have developed a moisturizer designed to be used on sensitive skin, helping to reduce irritation while helping us to improve fine lines.

To provide us with these results, one of the main ingredients of this moisturizer is centella asiatica, with important moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, it also incorporates ceramides (which help us to keep the skin barrier balanced) and various types of peptides (which help us to improve expression lines). Furthermore, the brand places great emphasis on the presence of guaiazulene among the ingredients of the product. This ingredient is what gives the cream its characteristic blue color and also helps us to improve skin irritation thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties. This moisturizer does not include perfumes or essential oils among its ingredients.

As I mentioned, this moisturizer is mainly intended to be used on sensitive skin, although most of us can benefit from its results. Perhaps the only possible exception would be those with dry skin, as this product may not provide enough hydration for them.

As for the application of the product, it is worth mentioning that its texture is very light and comfortable, so it spreads very comfortably and easily. Guaiazulene gives it a very characteristic blue color and has no recognizable odor.

For me, the best way to use this cream is when my skin is especially sensitive (after shaving, for example), as it helps to reduce skin irritation and improve the burning sensation that comes with it. There are many products that can be uncomfortable on sensitive skin, but this is just what mine needs.

It’s not easy to decide if you would buy this moisturizer again. On the one hand, the result it provides me with is just what my skin needs when sensitized. However, since my skin is not constantly sensitive (and considering that I usually shave in the morning), as it is a product designed to be used in our night routines, I think I am going to look for another alternative to use interchangeably in my morning and night routines, since it will be more practical given my circumstances. At the moment I am going to finish what I have left of this cream, I will try other different ones and, in time, I will probably buy it again.

HOW TO USE:

This cream is intended to be used in our night routines and, ideally, on sensitive skin. Apply after cleansing, toner, and serum. You must massage it gently, pressing gently to ensure that the product is properly absorbed.

This graphic aims to help you understand in which part of your skincare routine you should use each product.
You don’t need to do all the steps from this routine (but you should always cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen).
Remember it’s key to do a patch test every time you consider adding new products to your skincare routine.
