Cabecera The Moisturizer - REVIEW: Mádara RE:GENE Volume Rebuild Lifting Mask
Do you use face masks often? These skincare products aren’t exactly necessary, but can really boost the experience of your skincare routine. After all, a beauty routine isn’t only about effectiveness, but also about relaxing and gifting yourself some time. Today I’ll tell you about my experience with the Mádara RE:GENE Volume Rebuild Lifting Mask!

Hello! Today I want to tell about a mask that I have been using for a while and I am very keen to give you my opinion: the Mádara RE: GENE Volume Rebuild Lifting Mask. Do you want to meet her? Let’s go!

You can get the Mádara RE: GENE Volume Rebuild Lifting Mask on Mankind.

For those who do not know it, Mádara is a Latvian brand founded in 2006 and focused on creating quality products of natural origin (they get their ingredients in Scandinavia and other Nordic countries).

This mask, has a light gray colour (close to violet) and a slightly muddy scent, aims to help reduce wrinkles and fine lines, improving the elasticity and firmness of the skin. When extending the mask, it leaves a fresh first sensation. It is very easily applied (although not as much as the I’m From Volcanic Mask, about which I spoke in this other post). After a few minutes you can already see how it begins to dry and absorb, pretty much like clay masks.

Among the ingredients of this mask we find birch juice, very traditional in the Baltic countries and associated with anti-aging properties, shea butter, with moisturizing and antioxidant properties, jojoba oil, to minimize pores, and hyaluronic acid (although it is quite at the end of the list of ingredients, so I’m not sure of its proportion). This mask does not contain perfumes.

The packaging of this product is simple and practical: it comes in a gray plastic tube with black and silver details. Having less than 100ml you can take it on a trip without problem (it never hurts to take a mask with you for a relaxing moment). It has a very small applicator, so it is easy to take the right amount of product to extend it well. However, it takes a lot of product to cover the face well, so it does not spread as I’d like to.

I liked to finally try Madara, although I admit that I have not noticed any difference in relation to what the brand promises with this mask. I have not seen my fine lines reduced (I still do not have many, but I have not noticed any changes), but it is a very relaxing mask. It has been an interesting discovery, but I do not think I’ll buy it again (at least for now).

As you know, the right moment to apply the mask is after washing your face, before the toner, the serums and the moisturizer. I like to apply it with a tiny silicone spatula, because that way it can spread much better. Once you have extended it well, let it act for 15-20 minutes, remove it with lukewarm water and continue with your routine as you already know. If you want to let it act for a little longer you can apply a mist during use.

To me, the best way to apply this type of face masks is with a spatula like this one, since that way you’ll avoid directly touching the product with your hands and thus you’ll reduce the risk of contaminating it. Also, you’ll notice how this way it’s way easier to evenly distribute the product all over your skin.
