Hello! Today I am going to tell you about a toner that I have been using for some time and that has been a regular in my morning and night routines. Do you want to know my opinion of this Essential Power Skin Refiner Moisture by Laneige? Do you want to know if it is for you? Keep reading!

BRAND: LANEIGE
PRODUCT: ESSENTIAL POWER SKIN REFINER MOISTURE
SKIN TYPE: TODOS
RECOMMENDED FOR: UNISEX

You can get the Laneige Essential Power Skin Refiner Moisture toner on Yesstyle and on Jolse.

You may remember Laneige from my review of their Cream Skin Refiner, one of the most interesting products I tried last year and which has become quite a discovery. This Korean brand has very interesting products that help us improve the hydration of our skin, such as this Essential Power Skin Refiner Moisture, a toner that promises to provide us with great hydration.

If you still don’t use a toner in your beauty routines, you may wonder if you really need it. These products serve a double function: on the one hand, they help us to rebalance the pH of our skin after cleansing, thus making the other products we use more effective, while also providing us with extra hydration to keep our skin nourished and protected.

In this case, this toner was designed to improve the hydration of the skin while giving us various antioxidants, which fight free radicals (responsible for damage to collagen and elastin fibers that subsequently lead to wrinkles).

As for its texture, it is very watery and lightweight, so you can comfortably use it in both your morning and night routines. I have used it in both ways and it has been perfectly adjusted to the needs of my skin. Although it is not as hydrating as this Pyunkang Yul toner, I have noticed that it provided me with the necessary water for my skin at the same time as antioxidants helped me quietly but effectively.

Among the ingredients of this Laneige toner we find glutamic acid (an amino acid that helps us improve skin hydration), beta glucan (with soothing and antioxidant properties) and ascorbyl glucoside (a derivative of vitamin C about which you can read more in this other article). One aspect that I don’t like about this product is that it includes perfumes among its ingredients, which you already know are potentially irritating and that I prefer to avoid in the cosmetics I use.

This toner is suitable for all skin types, although I would not recommend it especially for those who have sensitive skin because of the perfume I have mentioned.

I am happy with this toner, it has been a good discovery, although the presence of fragrance among the ingredients makes the experience not as positive as I would like.

HOW TO USE:

The proper way to use this toner is immediately after cleansing, to rebalance the pH of your skin and provide good hydration. I prefer to use these toners with a spray applicator to better distribute it all over the face, and then gently massage it with a few taps. After using this tonic, all you have to do is continue with the rest of your beauty routine: serum, moisturizer and, if it is your morning routine, sunscreen.

This graphic aims to help you understand in which part of your skincare routine you should use each product.
You don’t need to do all the steps from this routine (but you should always cleanse, moisturize and use sunscreen).
Remember it’s key to do a patch test every time you consider adding new products to your skincare routine.
